Trust & Estate Planning for the Digital Age
in Colorado, Florida, Ohio & Pennsylvania
Built for the generation that holds wealth differently.
Become Futureproof
You're building your future on new foundations. Your assets aren't just a house and a bank account—they're Bitcoin, a thriving online business, viral social media accounts, and thousands of irreplaceable digital memories.
The world has changed. Your estate plan must change with it.
Whether you’re a Millennial couple building an abundant future, a digital asset holder who understands the importance of self-sovereignty, or a family or business owner preparing for generational uncertainty - your estate plan should match how you actually hold your wealth.
Most estate planning attorneys reject change. We build modern, digitally-native estate plans that adequately protect our clients in a world that doesn’t stand still.
-
Baby Boomers currently hold more half of the nation’s total wealth. Over the next two decades, however, younger generations - including Millennials and Gen Z - are set to inherit more than $70 trillion in assets as part of the largest inter-generational transfer of wealth in human history. We can help you and your family develop a plan to transfer and protect these assets.
-
Traditional estate planning documents were designed for a world of fiat wealth and physical assets. But what about your stake in valuable tokens like Bitcoin? Our team can help to ensure your digital wallets remain accessible to your loved ones - without exposing your private keys - so your wealth can be cherished forever.
-
For generations who grew up at the dawn of the internet in traditional neighborhood settings away from screens, there is a general sense of uncertainty about the future that is baked into our identities. This uncertainty is due in no small part to things like rising healthcare costs, declining life expectancy rates, sandwich generation problems, growing divorce rates, and other daily emergencies. Our estate planning techniques can help to mitigate your overall legal risk and restore peace of mind.

The Futureproof Process
In this initial attorney consult, we’ll discuss your goals, the process, and answer any questions you have. To help make this session as productive as possible, a questionnaire will be sent to you in advance of this meeting. Should you choose to move forward, an engagement letter and an initial invoice will be emailed to you.
Futureproof Planning Session
We’ll design an estate plan that meets your specific goals. This will often require an additional meeting where we will discuss your concerns at length, ensure we have a sound understanding of your family structure and assets, and have backup plans in place for possible contingency scenarios.
Custom Design Meeting
Next we’ll spend time crafting your estate plan, conducting an intensive legal review, circulating initial drafts, and working with you to incorporate any requested updates or modifications. We’ll review your plan in detail with you to ensure all of your questions are answered. Final drafts of your plan will ultimately be sent to you for approval.
Legal Review
The final step is to attend the Futureproof Signing Ceremony, where you will execute your documents in front of witnesses and a notary. This usually occurs 4-6 weeks after the Futureproof Planning Session. We can have this signing at your home or another preferred location. Following execution of the documents, we are available for free, unlimited lifetime consultations regarding your existing estate plan.
Signing Ceremony
Jake Bruner, Esq.
Hi, I’m Jake! I am a JD/MBA, former BigLaw associate, and current Master of Laws (LLM) candidate at the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning at the University of Miami School of Law. I am a new dad and husband, third-generation attorney, and long-time Colorado and Ohio resident. Like many others, I discovered Bitcoin in 2020 when the world shut down, and I have been obsessed with it ever since. I use my unique, mixed-practice legal background to help sovereign individuals and families plan for life in an uncertain and rapidly-changing world. I believe the estate planning process needs a radical transformation to meet the needs of a modern life built on digital rails and I am proud to serve the next generation of clients on the brink of the largest transfer of wealth in human history.
